The Clever Pets idea was born out of love for our furry friends. I have always had a passion for animals and I’m now following my passion and love that I can earn a living working with animals and learning more and more everyday about companion animal behaviour
In 2009 I started my studies by doing the Basic Cat Behaviour Course with Ethology Academy, followed by an internationally recognised COAPE (Centre of Applied Pet Ethology UK) Diploma in the practical aspects of companion animal behaviour and training. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to join the ThinkingPets team and completed my L2 Confi-puppy Instructors course, L2 Confi-kitten and L3 Adult dog instructor courses through them. I have reached Practicing Member status with the CAPBT SA and we have a network of fellow behaviourist all over SA (and the rest of the world).
My pets are my children and I am so grateful for every new thing that I learn from them everyday. I love watching them interact and enjoy working with them to overcome obstacles they might encounter on a day to day basis.
At Clever Pets I believe in using positive reinforcement based training methods, my goal is to I help you build a positive relationship with your dog. With this training method we teach your dog to think and make decisions and the correct decision earns them a reward.
From October 2012 I have joined the Manorswood Veterinary Practice team and work from their premises in Gallo Manor. I am very excited about this move and I hope this collaboration will add value to all my services.
If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me.Kind Regards
